Welcome Dialog

This document details the logic for the Welcome Dialog.

The Welcome Dialog is conditionally shown when GIMP is started (with a GUI), based on the following conditions:

• Always show the Welcome dialog the first run just after an update.

• When the Show on Start option is unchecked, never show the Welcome dialog (except just after an update).

• When the Show on Start option is checked and you run GIMP while loading an image or running a script, do not show the dialog.

-In all other cases, show the dialog.
